Fall 2023 Updates

Hello dear friends,

Happy September! I hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful summer - whether adventurous or lazy, fruitful or restorative. Me, I have finally returned to my humble castle in the sky here in Montreal, and am getting ready for the year ahead.

These past two months have been wild, to say the least. 12 days in Turkey, 5 in Greece, and an unforgettable 2 weeks of Windwood magic. Or was it magic? This first official season of the Windwood Music Festival has seen to some serious, unexpected challenges. Ultimately, we can’t be grateful enough for how everything came together, how lucky we were with our residents, our team, and the support of the Airdrie community. But still, that is not to say we did not have doubts. There is a deep cynicism or even coldness lurking behind that cheery glittering mask of the red pianist. Going forward will take a lot of courage, patience, and resilience. Perhaps even more kindness. Perhaps re-remembered belief in magic.
